We're off to see Crosby Stills Nash on 25th (that dates us doesn't it), can I nominate one of theirs, 'Love the one you're with', for example? May be more inspired after the concert.

Hi Robjay

Was just thinking as I was driving in my car today about songs that reminded me of PP and I suddenly thought of Madonna ..the song is called La Isla Bonita. In fact, and this is REALLY embarrassing, I once sang it at a karaoke night at the Villa Concha :\ I didn't want to do it but you know how it is.. the kids were young .. they begged me.. I didn't want to let them down.. honestly I was forced onto the stage!!

It must be included on your PP cd unless of course you'd like my version!!

Where can I download your version debz?. If not it will have to be Madonna who gets the spot on the CD. This could be your big break into show business :smokin . But I hope you will remember us little people.
keep them coming.

Sorry Rob my version was lost in the ether over PP bay many years ago! I'm afraid you'll have to make do with Madonna

Another song I associate with holidays is Please Don't go..but it's normally when we are packing up to go home and we're all feeling sad so perhaps it could be your final track! Can't remember who it's by..''Babe I miss you so and I want you to know'' Shame you can't hear me singing away as I'm typing lol but then again maybe not!! It's got me in the mood for karaoke which a few years back was very popular in PP but thankfully seems to have died a death...hope it wasn't because of me

Your CD collection must include The Sun Always Shines on TV by A-HA or as I like to sing The Sun Always Shines on PP.
I've enjoyed the forum many times as a visitor but tonight I've taken the plunge and registered as a member and this is my first post

Hi easylife!!

Welcome to the forum! So glad you decided to take the plunge and post a message!! We're a real friendly bunch on here and love to see new members post messages!!

I used to like A-ha a lot (fancied the lead singer when I was a teenager!!).

Good choice anyway!!

Regards
Jane

Welcome easylife, it is so nice to see a new member take the plunge. It wasn't too pain now was it?. I for one look forward to seeing many more from you. I can't say I've heard of the song by the band A ha, which is understandable when you read that Jane had a crush on the lead singer when she was a teenager. I'd have still been at primary school way back in the olden days of Jane's youth :rollin . But since it's your first post and Jane fancied the singer it's in if I can find it.

Can We also invite you to join us in the chat room, it's warm and very friendly there.
Take care.

Rob
