Many people cannot lie down on the sand and need to have the beds, they have to cater for everyone .

Does anyone know if the beach outside Little Italy has been cleaned yet?

<< they have put poles in ready for the parasols as far down as the Bou De Mar shop >>

What sort of spacing in this abnormal year ?

In that area, they have always put them much too close together IMO.

KWUK2 there are two rows, about 5m apart left to right and slightly less between the front and back row.

Bekki - did you ask in particular because of the shards of glass, etc mentioned in #33 ? Anyway, does anyone know if it has been cleaned to such an extent that what might be dangerous has been cleared ?

It seemed fine when we were down there the other day.

I orginallyx posted this warning nearly two months ago and there has been a lot of cleaning since. I have used this beach virtually every day for last month and am happy to say it is very clean

I don't know whats going on with sunbeds and umbrellas. Yesterday they had three rows of poles in and a few shades. Today half the poles have been removed. I presume they are checking spacing and density

Default Beach Distancing

I can see from the “See Mallorca” webcam that the umbrellas have started to be put up on the beach. They appear to be more distanced from each other than usual, obviously due to the situation. I can’t really tell 100% by looking at the webcam if they actually are. Are the umbrellas more spaced out and does anyone know what is happening with sunbeds (again, because of the current situation and cross contamination etc!)?

They are definitely more spaced put than in previous years. Looking at the webcam this morning, there are now a few piles of stacked up sunbeds. They might add them to the umbrellas later in the day and I 'd hope they put some disinfectant on them.
