Hi cat,

The link is now invalid because it goes back to the old EZboard forum which is no longer available. Here is the new link:

Directions to O Lume here

Hi Cat - I hear that Bona Cepa is disappearing and that is usually a good way to find the O'Lume opening - but don't worry I am sure the Bar Imperial is going nowhere!

Just click on the link 'Directions to O Lume' in the post 2 above yours (in this thread) & read thru that post - you'll find the directions there. Alternatively have a good look at the very useful threads that Jane has put together on Restaurants, all listed at the top of this forum - the forum on 'Eating Out'.

PS - a 'thread' is a collection of 'posts' on a particular subject i.e. I am currently adding a 'post' to the thread entitled 'O Lume' & we are currently in the forum entitled 'Eating & Drinking in Pollensa'.

The web site www.forum.puertopollensa.com is a collection of discussion forums about Pollensa & www.puertopollensa.com is the main website with useful information and advertising from local & UK companies.

Thumbs up Oooooh Lume

Well hubby and i finally got to dine in O'Lume on Saturday 10th May. Oh my god why had we waited so long, Jaime was so attentive but not intrusive. We had: a bottle of C'an Vidalet,a small tapa of Russian salad on the house.Starters:Frito Mallorquin and Fish Croquets (we had a bit of each). Mains: Scallop and Prawn kebab for hubby and Steak in a divine sauce for me served with fresh vegetables, all superbly cooked and presented. We were too full for dessert so we finished off with cafe solos and liqueurs. The atmosphere was very warm and cosy, which is just what we like in a restaurant and the bill was such a surprise 59euros. Amazing, a similar meal and venue here would have cost £120. A very big thank-you Jaime and team you will see us again in October and if you are open in winter we will be regulars.

Lala, when we arrived at 8:30 there were two couples and a table of 6 German males. Then while we were there two other couples and a family of 6came in so they seemed to be doing quite well. I forgot to write in my post about the home made chocolates, they were yummy.

Incidentally had a fabulous Saturday lunch at Ca'n Cuarassa. Sat overlooking the gardens and a Spanish wedding. The food was delicious and reasonably priced too.
where is this place pls?

Please just read up a few posts in this thread as people are always asking this (Jaime how about advertising & then we can include a map!) & you will see a link to directions.

& if anyone does manage to find it, do suggest that an advert with map would be a good idea!

Thanks.

Default Beautiful meal

Hi guys. We're back in the uk now and I thought I'd add to the O Lume reviews. We went on Wednesday last week and thank goodness I'd printed out your directions otherwise we'd never have found it. I agree that an advert on here and map would have been helpful.

My husband and I went for a romantic meal (leaving the kids with my sister and her OH). When looking at the menu outside we were not sure whether to go in. (I'd been wanting to visit O Lume ever since I read all the great posts on the forum but OH was getting fed up of hearing me going on and on about the Forum that I thought he'd refuse) anyway, luckily a couple of regulars walked past and recommended that we try it. I'm so glad we did.

I had the serrano ham to start and OH had garlic prawns (Jaime (I presume it was him)kindly offered to do them without the cuttlefish.) Our mains were grilled shrimps (12 huge ones)- beautiful - for me and lamb chops for OH (7 of them!) OH said it was the best meal he'd had all week. For dessert OH had a coconut creme (like a creme brulee) and I had fried milk. Again both were delicious. I hadn't intended on having fried milk but when I asked Jaime about it (having read about it on the forum) he insisted I try it. It was lovely. The appetisers, petit fours and liquers were all great, as well as the wine and gin .

OH paid for the meal so I don't know how much it was, but I can ask him later if anyone is interested.

As for the atmosophere, there were 3 more tables occupied and I'm sure they could have done with some more customers, but we didn't notice any lack of atmosphere. The food and service more than made up for it.

I would definitely recommend it!! (sorry for going on a bit)

Had yet another great meal the other night with my little girl, my friend and her daughter. The girls were delighted as Jaime gave them an extra special plate of his chocolates, my daughters favourite.

Smile Photos Of O'Lume interior... :)

Once again I had a fantastic meal at O'Lume with my family and all three courses were super as always! I also love the new decorations on the ceiling which is a fishing net hung up, and a few more model boats and a pair of oars.
As Jaime says quite right at night when the lights shine through the net it makes shapes on all the tables which looks great. The new decorations look even better when you are actually there!

The Following photos were taken at roughly 6:30pm on the 28/08/08 when the restaurant was closed and I was given permission to take the photos from Jaime (Thank-you!), so hopefully you will enjoy them!

That's all for now folks!

Wish I was there already - been twice to the port but never been to O'Lume definitely on our list of 'early' eateries this year - hope I'm not disappointed but judging by the reviews I trust I won't be, 1 more day at home can't wait!!!
