Well, we just got back home today but Sparky was true to her word - the sun did come out on Tuesday and stayed out for most of the rest of the week! Yet another great week in PP - we're thinking about when we'll next visit - August maybe?

Are they charging for the beds and brollies yet (down at Tamarells)? In-laws out tomorrow and got away with a few free days last year...

They have been charging in front of Can Josep all last week but I´m not sure about Tamarells.

We were charged every day we used the ones on the little beach between the terraces of the Daina and the Miramar (30th April, 1st and 2nd May). There's an employee with a bike and he's coming by pretty regularly, so I'd guess they are charging at most places now. No price notices up though. 11€ for two beds and a parasol, same as last year.

That chap on the bike is not my favourite. He's a little too keen so watch out for him. Last year he accused me of not paying for the beds despite him having only taken my money half an hour before and me showing him the ticket!

Thanks all. No freebie for the in-laws so.
Will tell them to make sure to hang on to the ticket.

That's a shame Debz, he was maybe just having an 'off' day. I was really surprised to hear that as we have always been really impressed with the warm friendliness and politeness of all of the guys who come round for the money.

Does anyone know whether the charges are likely to remain as last year once summer arrives?

I agree MairiCladach most of the beach boys are really friendly but this guy is a real 'jobs worth' and not friendly at all

Default Sad

I just looked at the webcam and it does look a bit sad now with no one on the beach and all the beds away.

I don't know if I would like to visit when it's all closing down. But perhaps it would make would make you seek out some of the bars further behind the sea front?

Cheers
