Question Exchange Rate

Does anyone know what the exchange rate is for British pounds (cash) into euros in PP at the moment. I think that there are a number of places there that will change cash. Apparently the euro is on the up which is good news.

Earlier this week i saw €1.10 for travellers cheques and €1.08 for cash. You will have to be careful as some places advertise more but then you have to pay commission.

Definitely on the up - see Euro Exchange Rate Graph - British Pound - Historical Exchange Rates although you won't get the rate shown on this site as it is the inter-bank rate but it gives you an idea of how it's moving.

Smile Exchange Rate

I managed to get 1.11 yesterday at the Post Office here in UK which I thought was quite good. It may go up again before my departure to PP, but thought this was too good to miss.

1.11 at about the best you'll get at the moment, been keeping a close eye on it as i have to pay a couple of thousand in bills when i come over. Currency speculation is just that, speculation, as one other poster stated, IF we could work it out we would all be staying in one of the big villas up the hills in PP! Anyway, the forward buyers seem to think it's on the rise, so i suppose they have a better idea than most of us, or they would soon be out of business.

One place was offering €1.15 for cheques and €1.13 for cash today. It is on the up friends.

Default Exchange Rate

Yep! Been watching it closely and had to go yesterday, like it or not, unfortunately it fell 2cents (literely) by the time i got to the shop. Noticeable when your buying two and a half grand! ( i'm not filthy rich, need to pay bills etc ). I'm afraid i'll have to blame Mr Brown! Poor guy can't do anything right
