Question Car Parking - Puerto Pollensa

My daughter and her family have just arrived and are staying in our apartment near to Burger King. They rang me to say they could not park anywhere, there were signs limiting parking to 1/2hr. Am I right in thinking that these signs are from 1st May (for the tourist season) and do not apply at the moment?

If they do need to find a place to park the car over night can anyone suggest a suitable place nearby?

I am really surprised as we have never had problems parking out of season.

Just beyond Tolos, on Ave de Paris there is usually lots of space.

Hiya GL,

We arrive next Thursday, complete with my Dad (stroke-very limited walking and always with wheelchair 2 feet away ! lol) so along by Tolos isnt always gonna work for us.. have u seen any info on disabled parking? ( and I realise, too well, till ur in that situaton, it isnt something u normally search out) Any info would be appreciated as life is so much easier, when u know in advance and can plan.

Thanx

Miriam

Disabled parking is available in PP but only an odd 1 space here and there (marked out in blue), nothing like we have in the UK. I believe they do recognise our disabled badge but dont know whether this entitles you to park in 'no parking' area's.

We have been several times and had it all sussed before... but now with the pedestrianisation... bits where I knew I could park mite not be available. Still I'm sure we will manage

Now that the pedestrianisation has been reversed there is the usual beach front parking.

Sorry I've been a bit out of touch with the forum recently and may well have missed something. What's this about the pedestrianisation being reversed?

Hi Jenny, everything is now back to how it was. No road closures ,all the signs have been removed and i just feel sorry for the poor motorists who got hefty fines for driving up the sea front in the winter.
