Default Puerto Pollensa in May!

Hi, I am just new to this site.

I have just boked a holiday in PP for the 3rd week in May and I am so excited about it. I have been doing some research on the area and found this fab website, which is helping me a lot.

I have never been on this type of holiday before so I am wondering if anyone could help me out. I am just curious to know what the weather is usually like towards the end of May?? Will it be reasonably warm? Will we be able to go in the outdoor pools and sea, or is that just a silly idea?? Like I said I have no idea what to expect from this type of holiday!

The place just sounds absolutely beautiful!

Hi

We always go early June ( and have been in late May in the dim and distance past). Apart from last year (when the weather was famously iffy for that time of year) we have been really lucky I think. In an average 2 weeks we might get 2 slightly iffy days and 1 rainy one with the rest being glorious sunshine. The sea's fine for swimming in, bit cold at first but you'll soon get used to it (very shallow bay). As long as you keep your fingers crossed you'll be fine - hope you enjoy it.

Hi Melfi
We've been in May many times and had beautiful sunshine and been in the outdoor pool, but last year we went in September and had terrible weather.I'm sure you'll be okay with the weather this year.

We are always in PP on the 10th May, as it's Mrs PP76 birthday, with the exception of last year we are able to spend the day on the beach.
You will have a wonderful time.

Hi Melfi - we are usually in PP or CSV week before Spring Bank Holiday and over the weekend. The weather is just right for us as it is not too hot during the day and cool on a night so you can sleep. It is a lovely time to visit as everything is lush green before the heat of the summer. It is often quite windy so my kids take their kites, and a drizzly day in the week means climbing the steps in Pollensa. Have a great time, it is such a lovely place to holiday
