I, personally, could never imagine telling friends at home, that I had gone to Puerto Pollensa for whatever length of time you are there, to sit glued to a TV waiting for a chick to be born on a rooftop in Germany somewhere!

You know, there are restaurants, bars, beaches, etc outside!

However, your choice entirely!!

Wish I'd never announced that the eggs had been laid!
I agree, Debz, I'll be there in 2 weeks, too, and I reckon I'll give the storks a miss.....well?!

Just had a look and mama stork was standing and checking the eggs and generally tidying round - and there are at least 3 eggs

I could be wrong (most likely ) but mummy stork looks quite restless today so maybe the eggs are about to hatch. Also her fluffy tummy feathers that grow to keep the eggs warm appear to have been pushed up and out..maybe to make way for the baby chicks.

It must be any day surely!

Just going to back to Vic for a moment. I was checking out the Time Laps section rather than the Live cam feeds (choose it on the left hand side of the page on the Stork watch) and I went into the vulture park. The second time laps video down of the vultures nest, taken on 30/4/15 looks a little disturbing to me. Can someone check it out and confirm or deny? :-(

If you go back through the posts this was exactly the time some of us showed concern... and then the webcam was turned off! When it came back on Victor was never in the nest (when I looked anyway) and I haven't seen any sign of him since. Hmmmmmmm

Mm. I think looking at the time lapse video, we were all justified in our concerns. Nature is pretty brutal at times.

Back to happier live webcam then debz, Stork, Butter and Margarine should be along soon!

Just looked at the time lapse for the vultures and it seems to explain everything and confirm our worst suspicions at the time. Really sad

Just posted on their FB page

The remember? Yes, friends, it's the louse Vulture outsider who was born in Son Pons on April 13. Grows healthy and is in perfect condition in the hopes of finding young Godfather. You are interested in? If so, just send an email to info@procustodia.org asking for this issue. Importantly, the godfathers/godmothers young will be very important at the time to put her name, that don't already have one. Thank you very much

Muchas gracias.
