Default BA from Stansted

Checking BA flights following item in Times that BA were going to be flying from Stansted this summer - how quickly a good news story becomes depressing news.......

Just checked my flight dates last two weeks in August to Palma and got this...

13/8 out, dep. 2045. Return 28/8 (no flights Sat 27th) dep. 0100 **.

All for a base price of £192 return.

** I suppose 0100 flight 28th could be considered to be a late 27th flight...

This was in today's Diario de Mallorca. Here :- http://www.diariodemallorca.es/mallo...a/1092543.html

Don't know who gave them the prices.

Default BA flights

At the moment I am lucky enough to be booking flights for our 4th planned visit this year and this is what I found.
I have booked flights by BA from Heathrow, several times last year, so I compared them with Easyjet from Bristol as I live about 1 hour the other side of Bristol close to the M4. It takes me one quarter hours to Heathrow.
Flights for two weeks flying midweek last week June first week July.
Easyjet. One hold bag between two, seats reserved, end of story! Cost £178 pp
BA. One hold bag each. Seats reserved, food and drinks on board!! £147 pp
Even if I add on the cost of Valet, meet and great parking at Heathrow, £94, it still works out to be a nobrainer for us. Not forgetting that Bristol Int. has some of the highest parking charges in the country
Usually the flight times are much better for us and not stupidly early or late.
I might regret letting this out of the bag!!

One flight a week at midnight is hardly big news!

Default BA flights

Re my earlier comment about flights by BA from Heathrow:-

Dear Molt-de-renou, you were indeed correct. When I came to book the flights I discovered that the outbound flight was with BA's partner, Iberiocity or something, and that means that on that leg I have to buy my own food and drinks! Oh woe is me.
