Last year they started very early, i just looked back to the beginning of this thread and they were cleaning the beach in the 2nd week of March so lets hope they are as prompt this year .

I look on the seemalloca webcam of P.P beach every day, to see if they have started to put the sunshades or beds out yet. Seems to make the holiday closer somehow.

As i understand it, last year it was decided that the contract was to run for (i think) 3 years so it will be the same people running it. It was very efficient last year and i have been told today that they have already started cleaning the beach .

Default charges

Yes, hope the cost of the beds doesn't jump up too much. Been pretty reasonable up to now, and in spite of having loungers in a nice quiet space at Hotel Villa Singala we do spend every day at the beach, just not the same round a pool, you could be anywhere - I just love soaking up the beautiful scenery and atmosphere round the Pine Walk, great for people-watching too!

Obviously it is far too early to know what they will be charging but i can't imagine that it will be much more, if there is any increase at all .

Varsp, I speculate regarding an answer to you queries:
Would possibly expect the Shades to be put out in early May followed by the Sunbeds later in May and prior to the school hols'.
Price last year 11E for one shade plus two sunbeds. So expect the same - or hopefully no more than 12E. Note, these are only my thoughts, others may know differently.

Poles were up and the 'hats' going on them in mid April last year. Beds were out not long after that. That was at the Tamarells area of the beach so possibly further along they were 'set to go' before then We weren't out unfortunately but watched it progressing on the webcam

I agree, they did seem very efficient. Lots of bins provided and, as litter is one of my bug-bears, that has got to be good. Just need the "lazy I don't care, someone else will clean up after me brigade" to actually use them.
