hostal Bahia
Went here for lunch the other day.
Our favourite place in the port.
We love to sit on the terrace there watching the world go by. Their Paella is fantastic and the views across the water are stunning. It was so peaceful.
Just lovely.
Im typing this from my sunbed - it's so warm!
I feel like shouting from the rooftops 'I LOVE IT HERE'!!!!!!

Do you think I'm bothered, or care, or jealous. Well yes I am on all 3 counts. Half ya luck Hannah. Enjoy and have one for all of us.

Teehee Debz and Pollensafan.
It's probably not all that warm really (I bet Sparky thinks I'm mad!) but compared to the weeks of snow we've had at home in Yorkshire it feels positively tropical.
We can't remember the last time we were outdoors without boots and coats!
I shall do a full trip report at the end of our holiday but I must say I feel very lucky to be here and I love sharing all the good bits with the people on this website.
Keep up the good work Pollensa and Sparky!

Sounds like a bad case of Pollensaitis, there is no known cure and the only treatment to help ease the symptoms is to book another holiday as soon as you arrive home

There is a cure and sparky has it. She lives there.
Unfortunately my doctor wont write me a financial prescription to enable me to do the same.

Yes,Lucky you Hannah,I too have enjoyed many pleasant hours at Bahia, 20 yrs ago it had a kind of shabby, chic air to the place,as much of the Pine Walk had,it was special.
Imup here in Yorkshire too, nice sun but very cold!
Enjoy your stay,Poll and PP never dissappoint!

It does have one of the most perfect locations in the world. I can spend ages there and I don't care if I am eating caviar or fish fingers!!

Snowy, A lot of the people won't remember the old concrete area right on the beach, this got badly damaged during a winter storm and had to be demolished, think the storm continued to the hotel and forced them to do it up

Smiddy, I remember it Had many a lovely dinner on the terrace on the beach. I can also remember one August probably 15 years ago or more when it was incredibly humid. A crowd of us had met for lunch and it was so hot we couldn't move so were still there at about 7 pm. A perfect place to sit while the kids played happily on the beach. I dread to think how many beers and bottles of rosado were imbibed
I'm not sure if its a myth but the terrace was allegedly built for Franco when he stayed at the hotel and apparently it was an illegal build. After the great storm they were only allowed to build a much smaller terrace, which although nice doesn't quite compare to the original

We always used to sit on the beach under the trees in front of The Coach House and visit the terrace for cold beer or two lunch time, after which the ice cream man used to come along on his bike, later with a motor great days.

Hi Pescador, no, not me,S Yorkshire born n bred! The Millers are my team so a lifetime of dissappointment with brief spells of optomism!
But driving off the Sa Pobla island and on towards Son Brull, troubles are left behind and a whole new world opens up for us!
Never mind another Tex-mex,or we have lost most of the Pines, just enjoy!!!!

We had our first paella experience in Bahia tonight, and absolutely loved it.
Definitely worth a look!!! People talk about stay for views across bay - I defy anyone to beat that view we experienced this evening.
