St Malo is owned by the same lad that owns Es Mollie, both of these restaurents are excellent, St Malo is wonderfull catering more for the tourist trade whereas Es Mollie serves brilliant majorcan quisine at affordable prices.
Both get the full Cumberland8 seal of approval above any other in the old town.

The lad is Franck who comes from ... St Malo. He did have some brief second thoughts about the name of the bistro, given what "malo" means in Spanish. Needn't have. Fine place.

Its on the main street through the town, Cecili Metel, just past the petrol station near the main bus stops, you cant miss it, it has a sky blue frontage.

its hard to say which ones bevgt, some do some dont, you will need to check individually, some stay open through the winter but close for holidays in Jan or Feb, I think someone asked this last year and people started making a list, if you search for it you may find it

Just found this thread form last winter, has some places open in the winter listed in the town

El Brio is fast becoming a very popular eatery in Pollensa. It used to be a Danish Bar ( next to La Font de Gall). They are doing a superb evening menu for 15.50 euros including a glass of cava with the dessert. Well worht a visit.

Hi just a quick note to say how we fared with the recommendations.
For most of our week starting 2nd October ( as is the norm for our Pollenca holiday ) we chilled out around the pool at the villa as we were blessed with exceptionally good weather and prepared Mediterranean/ Mallorquian style dishes accompanied by local vino or cerveza or home made Sangria,
We decided to try pastures new on the three evenings when we ate out in the Old Town and on the first day we wandered round the Old Town had a drink at Bar Ocho in Placa Mayor and carried out a quick reconnoitre of the recommendations mentioned above.
St Malo was closed from 30th September until 19th October for holidays - The menu looked fine and we would have tried it if it had been open.
For our first night we chose to dine al fresco at Pasada D'Ariant and had a wonderful meal from the a la carte menu although there was the option of a MDD at 15 Euros.
On the second occasion we chose the MDD at El Brio at 15.50 Euros (including a glass of cava with dessert ) and for the price the choice available and the standard of cuisine was very good. The service from the young people who run it was also very pleasant so much so that we dined there again for our third evening out.
We usually have a trip out on one day and following recommendations in reply to my other posting we chose Mirador de La Victoria and were delighted with the food and the stunning view across the Bay.
Thanks for all the recommendations - Unfortunately we will have to wait another year to try the others.
Salud
