Olivers doesn't exist anymore it's now a social club for OAP's!!!!

From the Formentor road turn left when you get to Guru and Tribeca and Batucada is up that road next to Naciente

Thanks for the extra directions SWS.
If Jane can add this Bar to the A-Z perhaps it would be enough to just put "Next to Nacientes" as we already have directions for there.

The Club Nautic bar is also a great venue for taking in the atmosphere whilst sipping a pre-prandial cocktail or glass of wine.
All three would fit in my choices

Default Batucada

Just remembered I didn't post about this place

What a great bar for all ages ..... Raffa and Miguel really know how to make you feel welcome

We had a great time in there on a couple fo evenings and especially on 23rd July when they had their "white" themed evening

That was also the night I ventured into Chivas with my daughter and her friend ........... but as I am a tad over 16 I really did feel far far far to old for the place ......... interestingly after less than an hour daughter and friend asked if they could go back to Batucada ........ RESULT !!!!

It is not very glamorous but we like Bar Cultural (or corner bar as we call it). We have a drink there most evenings, usually outside but sometimes inside - it is really the locals bar and it is nice to see Spanish families out together and you can people watch around the square to your hearts content. Drinks are very generous and well priced too. Dare I say it beats the opposition diagonally across the square as far as we are concerned but never see it mentioned on the forum.

However for somewhere a bit smarter I would think Illa D'or fits the bill very well.

I have to say i find the service sooo slow outside at the Cultural. It is much quicker to go to the bar, order and pay for your drinks.

An amazing thing about Batacuda (I've never had a drink there, by the way, but I think I will this year) is the lack of noise for a late night bar. I stay about 100 yds away and I've never heard a peep - in fact, I've never seen it open and I thought it had shut down. I love this forum for its up to date information.

I'll second La llonja cantina. it catches the last of the sun and they serve great tapas to get the taste buds going. Excellent service, more locals than tourists, very good for people watching, great ice cold rosada and the best calamari in the port...........what could be better

Mambassa (the new pub on south beach) seems to be a big hit for locals and tourists alike.
