A lovely week in a stunningly situated apartment!

1...Stay, still our favourite, 2 evening meals and a lunch. We love the portion sizes , not too huge, and always delicious and well presented.
2...Tapas y punta, new to us, but interesting Tapas, and pleasant service. We'd definitively go again.
3...Maxims, we worried when we realised they were shutting for the season that night, but we had an excellent meal, and good service.
4...Na ruixa, yet another first, great atmosphere, and for the most part lovely food. I may have made poor choices, as both my starter and main course were gargantuan.
5...Iru, again, excellent lunchtime Tapas.

We'd like to nominate the traditional meal in cooked by me and a friend, seventies retro this year! 🤣😊

On a different note, Marfran ,through whom we booked are very anxious about the whole renting thing. They've removed their rentals, and say they will keep us posted for next year, fingers crossed. All restaurants were so full all week, that it's worrying to think of the consequences for such businesses next year.

5 La Vall lovely resturant good food but lacks atmosphere in the evenings as few people go there which is a pity.

With you all the way on four of those. Only reason it's not five is because I Have not tried No31.

Another update on scores as they currently stand:

2nd. La Llonja - 38 points
3rd. El Posito - 33 points
4th. Na Ruixa - 32 points

All very close this year between 2nd & 5th plus a few just outside the top 5 at the moment, so please if you have not already done so please take a minute to place your votes

Top 5 after our many visits:
1. Can Cuarrassa - shame not open all year as it used to be.
2. IRU - Excellent food and friendly service.
3. Centric - service suffers in high season but otherwise excellent and 'different'
4. Ambrosia - good place to eat late when a burger is what you need - usually full of Spanish as well.
5. Stay - Service and view great but feel the menu needs an update.

Our top 5 this year after a few visits:

1. El Posito........consistently good food and good atmosphere
2. La Cabana......great tapas and friendly service
3. Cellar la Parra.....lovely food and friendly service
4. Liberty Kitchen.....again consistently good food
5. Can Josep......first visit and sure it won't be our last

Special mention for lunches at Dolc Sa Pobla, Imperial and La Vall.....all excellent

Also must mention Mare Nostrum in Sa Pobla......had two excellent meals there and would definitely return on next visit.

Until the next time............😉

After many visits this year I am going with:

1 Stay, never had a bad meal there.
2 Can Josep, excellent quality food with reasonably priced wine and friendly service.
3 No 31, what a great addition to the Port this is. Not a big menu but everything is very good as is the service.
4 Stefano, not in the main part of town but consistently good food and friendly service.
5 El Posito, well known on this forum. Dropped down my ranking a bit this year - had a couple of experiences when items we wanted from the menu were not available. Effectively we were told what we could have. It is the way the owner operates and it is part of his style! I still like him and his restaurant and will return.
