Restaurant Reviews
Well done Harters
Thoroughly entertaining reviews, and all very descriptive without the use of photographs - but so good that you can nearly smell the food. Interesting that price doesn't appear to come into the reckoning with your reviews, that is to say, the "Value for money" angle.
None the less, all highly enjoyable, keep it up!!

Thanks, Tangoman. No, I rarely mention price when I review a place whether in the UK or overseas. "Value for money" can vary so much in cash terms. For instance, lunch at Cellar Es Moli is €12, whilst dinner at Jardin in Alcudia is, I think, €105 (plus booze, of course). Both are excellent value for money in my book. And, in their own ways, thoroughly enjoyable.
I'm hoping that value for money is going to apply to my partner's birthday present to me in August. Two nights dinner, bed and breakfast for us at chef Raymond Blanc's gaff near Oxford. It's eye-watering second mortgage territory - I kid you not!

An unusual holiday for us this year, being in high(ish) season, and a split holiday with one week being with the family and the other week being as a couple. But doing a bit of mix and match our top five would be;
1. L'Aup - Great for the family. Lovely spacious and attractive terrace, with sunshades, or an undercover area, or inside area. Great food, good portions. Service was very friendly, and a good childrens play area. We will also try it again with just the two of us.
2. Llenaire - All been said before! Peaceful, elegant, great view, excellent service, wonderful fresh products for great food. Excellent for couples and small groups, not so much for children.
3. Can Josep - Buzzy, Josep always an excellent host, good view - especially of the race which was going on when we were there! - good food and great saxophonist on a Saturday!
4. Capri - Obviously the middle table at the front for a 360 deg view of the bay. Service a bit hit and miss this visit as very busy, good food, have had better there though, service very friendly. Good for couples and groups.
5. Marina Brasserie - So popular now with Victoria being an amazing hostess. Very, very busy and buzzy, interesting food presentation and you will always see someone you know!
Other restaurants were struggling with service as the season started, being slow to the point of being frustrating! Hopefully they will be getting their acts together as the season increases with customers!

I have to disagree - it must have been a bad night - have had several meals at Ambrosia over the last of our 4 visits. Good service and friendly staff. I think it is high season and the high temperatures and humidity made me grumpy and I was not working! We returned last Wednesday and visited Ambrosia along with Stay, Can Cuarrassa IRU etc - all were exceptionally busy - we thought more than normal but all with good, happy service! Just to say - for once we were glad to come home to escape the exceptional high temperatures and humidity. Back in September.

Mr or Mrs Returning Officer for this ballot (aka MWC), I politely request some votes be classed as (unintentionally) spoilt, or seek a re-clarification of our electoral rules.
Marital disputes in recent times (eg posts #34 & #39) are resulting in some members seeking two sets of votes. This would distort the results totals, as the disputes seem to be centred round sequence of almost the same restaurants.
And - these marital disputes could be settled before the votes are cast – or divorce, perhaps ?
IMO – it’s one set of five votes per username per year.

I've found divorce to be the easiest solution when it comes to nutritional disputes.
