Our 5 favourites this trip were:
1. Cellar La Parra
2. Can Josep
3. Brisa Marina
4 Stefanos
5. Bar Coral
But all this may change in October!

Why can not post two times? Every six months. Much can happen during that the time
Can not quite understand why? But sure you have your reasons :- ))))

As with any voting system you only get to vote once, if people voted after every holiday they could be naming the same restaurants, so for example if you came twice and put the same restaurant as number 1 both times this would not be fair.
I really don't see why this is a problem with some of you, the rules are normal for any vote and we must stick to them .

Really Sparky.....
I think you should not have recommended Stay as restaurant, in example given ..... might have been better to pick Pizza Hut or Dominos (or even Burger King)!!
Only joking!!!!

I just wondered, many people votes in August and for all those in pp in May June and July, it had been nice to see what people have woted on so far. So I thought maybe every six months could be an idea. It,s June, and not many wotes yet? But I respect the way you have decided :-)))))

I have to say I think Tone has a point in a way. When you go out at different times of the year, many restaurants give different impressions, and some that you may not visit in high season for whatever reason, you do go to out of season, and of course, vice versa!
Personally, I have trouble remembering what I ate the meal before, let alone what I rated a restaurant 3 or 6 months previously - I SO admire those who manage the Trip Reports!
Saying that, it is just an overall impression of restaurants anyway, and not to be taken as seriously as a country vote for prime minister, so its not the end of the world if you wish you had or hadn't voted for a particular restaurant at the end of the year and on your final visit!
Great that you keep doing this though mwc, and its your game and we bow to your rules , and it is a thread puller (weird analogy there, sorry!)

Firstly, its not my game as you put it & you certainly don't have to bow to me. As you may know I started it a few years ago out of interest to see what people thought about all the different great places to eat in PP & thought the rules were simple . One vote per person per year, otherwise people visiting say 5 times in one year could vote for their same favourite as first 5 times, making the whole vote overall not a fair reflection, more like a reflection of the favourites of the people who visited the most times

Oh dear. I hope you didn't take my post the wrong the way! All comments were meant as a compliment to you, certainly not a criticism! The word "game" was not meant as an insult, and the phrase "bow to you" also meant that I defer to your rules as you are the person who began the thread! Hence also the wording before that where I said how great it was that you still do it.
The rest of the post was just a bit of fun, mainly at my expense and no one elses.
So, sorry if it came across to you any other way mwc, and if I am still allowed, I will at some point add my 5 restaurants - just the once!

I think it's very well run, thank you mwc, and with the same rules the votes are comparable between the different years.
Maybe people can add their 'trip' favourites to a trip report to keep track, then give a final year end vote.

Don't worry I didn't take any of it as any sort of insult at all, just didn't really understand the point of it when the way voting is done has always seemed pretty straight forward to everyone, though not to worry lets just get back on thread

I've ranked on the basis of "overall enjoyment", rather than necessarily "best" food:
1. Siller
2. El Posito
3. Stay
4. Ca'n Cuarassa
5. La Llonja
Although I was tempted to rank Ca'n Cuarassa #1. They have a "function room" and there was a large party of locals celebrating what we think must have been a girl's first communion. There were children's entertainers and it was just lovely to watch around 20 kids, aged from toddler upwards, thoroughly enjoying themselves without being under the watchful eyes of their parents.
