We went to the grand opening night of the tapas tree last week and it was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the hosts were very welcoming and the tapas/canapes served were very original and tasty. The new menu also looked very good and reasonably priced. A good night was had by all. In fact the following evening we went to TRIBECA had a really good meal perfectly cooked in a great atmosphere with perfect service in a busy restaurant we didnt have to wait for any drinks or food. Would definitely go back anytime.I think Tribeca could move into the top 5 voting thing this year if that standard keeps up .

I know this place will split the forum, but I have had no issues with the people so all I can do is to post honestly! We cycled past on a very hot afternoon so decided to call in for a drink and to check it out, so glad we did. When we saw the menu we couldn't believe it, 9 veggie options...

So we decided to split the menu have half one trip and then go back, so glad we did, the waiter was so friendly and the food was wonderful, modern food in a very smart and sophisticated location.

and then the second time when we meet the owner I think, she was pleasant and we made sure we commented on the veggie options

so give it a try, great tapas in a great location

Went on their first couple of Tapas nights and they are going from strength to strength with their options. Uniforms are bright and eye catching too! Only thing we found was that their glasses of wine were a bit smaller than others, but as we tended to stay for a few as the tapas was so good, I don't suppose it was a bad thing!

I'm not far from there so regularly pass it. Not ventured in yet but peering through the windows and door it looks great and your photos prove that. Good luck to them. Yet another smart acquisition for PP.

Popped in on the Tapas Route last night and was impressed.
Nice tapas and friendly staff and we will visit next week for dinner.

We popped in last night too and thought it was great. Excellent tapas, friendly service and good wine. Will definitely go back for an evening meal.

Tapas Tree changing to Patio @ 49
Tapas Tree has changed its name and menu, gone are the tapas and now only a few veggie dishes, shame as places to get decent tapas seem to be disappearing!!

sws - for tapas I recommend the following - El Meson, La Cabana, La Llonja cantina, Stay (for the location)and Siurell.
I am sure there is a long list of others

Re post #22 about the change of name -
Has the ownership of Tapas Tree changed as well ?
The most recent owner (who set up Tapas Tree) also owned Tribeca which I understand has closed.

Hi GG, thanks, we already love El Meson and La Cabana, but we like to try other places too, and we loved the ones at the former Tapas Tree. We will try other places next time, especially Naciente, where we have never been,
Love the pinchos in Noria as well!

The tapas portions in Naciente tend to be on the large size so we only order 3 or 4 dishes between us rather than 5 or 6. Very yummy though.
