Default The Tapas Tree.

A few days ago i reported on the "Cod Father" thread that the old Ivy Garden had been taken over by the owners of Tribecca and now i can tell you that it will be renamed the "Tapas Tree" and is due to open on 2nd April serving tapas (obviously ) with "a modern twist".

Mm.....I really enjoy places that serve tapas. I'd never for a moment be interested in going all the way to PP to have Fish & Chips. A welcome replacement I'd say.

Disorderly i am sorry if i have confused you but this restaurant is not where the Cod Father was, please read this thread http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...od-father.html post number 12 and you will understand . The old Cod Father is now also a tapas restaurant/take-away called "Llevant "

We just had lunch in the Tapas Tree. Could have spent all afternoon there. Lovely friendly welcome, delicious and light tapas, and sitting on the terrace drinking wine in the sun. Going back to try breakfast. And dinner.

Have they closed Tribeca or is this just a separate business?

As soon as I saw the name "Tribeca" it brought back memories of the worst service I have ever experienced in PP.

Vowed never to eat there again, and wondered if the new venture would be the same.

I think it would be good if Labore would explain what his issue was, to just say it was a "debacle" doesn't really tell us anything.

I am well aware that some of you have had a bad experience with the lady owner but that was in the past and perhaps we should give the place a chance and not comment unless you have eaten there, thank you .

It would be good to have some reviews on this place as well as the other new ones which have opened, and relocated, maybe including options on the menus and whether they have veggie options, as Sparky said we know some members have issues with the owner, but honest reviews would be helpful for us stuck over here looking forward to trying these places out

As Sparky has already pointed out, we welcome comments/feedback from anybody who has eaten at either the Tapas Tree or Tribeca this year and of course other places (but do post separately) - thank you!
