They have renovated the ground floor apartment in number 7, and open in next weeks

Looks like he has now, and they've turned his house into a pizza restaurant ;)

Interesting to hear it's the same owners as Spira as that is a fab restaurant. No fast food, reheated frozen rubbish served there. Hopefully this new place will be of the same quality. I bet Little Italy are worried, although competition should be a good thing for us punters :)

Yes i agree Debz, so Grupo Obris now have Spira, La Pena in the town and now Velomar in the port, they must be doing something right :D.

Well, hopefully, someone can throw a "chink" of light on this before we " Nippon " to another subject.

If anyone knows for sure, perhaps they can leave a " Massage in a bottle " :)

That puts a whole new slant on the debate

We love Spira too so this sounds really quite encouraging. We have also eaten at Obris which in fairness wasn't as good as Spira - but this will definitely be somewhere we would want to try. I hope no more pizza places open though - how much pizza can anyone eat? And this is Mallorca for heaven's sake - why would you not want to eat Mallorcan cuisine?

Hi all. Sorry not to post earlier. Am pretty shattered after getting up for flight at 4am. Anyway Yes there is building work going on at the place next door to Balada del Agua del Mar (with the fig tree). No sign up yet but looks like it's the new Velomar. Will try & take a photo tomorrow.

The much missed "massage man" is called Yuki, and he hailed from Tokyo.

It was quite a long visit that he had. I guess "Fortnight" and "Four years" sound very similar when you say them quickly.

Mind you, sitting on the beach, in the shade of the pines does take some beating as a workplace.

As promised here's a photo of the new restaurant and progress so far! :)

Sparky 13-03-2015 18:35

Thank you Zelda now i can visualize exactly where it is :D.

lovemallorca 13-03-2015 18:40

Nice location. I think that they will do well on take-away business as that stretch of beach is always busy.

The new pinetrees are looking nice along that section now too. Just a few years ago they were little, insignicant things, and I wondered if they would ever take.

The bush in the foreground looks in need of a little water though.

Tone 20-04-2015 10:53

Any news regarding this restaurant? :-)

marilyn 20-04-2015 12:59

Still not open. It looks nearly complete. There was someone working on the outside lastvFriday.

Tone 21-04-2015 13:50

They say they hope to open it in the last days of this month. They have had some delays with the works of renovation.
