Hey guys, we have just returned from a week in PP and during that week we ate three times at Velomar and twice at La Cabana.. We usually like to vary it up but the food service and atmosphere were second to none in both.
Velomar.
The staff are extremely attentive at one point even 'fighting' to pour our wine. There is quite a large menu but upon asking we had three waiters all recommending their favourite dishes the four cheese pasta, the duck and the lamb I opted for the four cheese pasta and it was beautiful not a huge portion but just right as pasta can be quite filling. I would thoroughly recommend the cheesecake. We were told all dishes were home made and this was very evident. This place is definitely a must for service, good food, beautiful setting and excellent value.
La Cabana.
The service here was impeccable. We opted for the Tapas menu and 16 euro which was amazing. The best tapas I have had in a very long time we were amazed to find the chef was English. La Cabana looks small on the outside and quite sheltered you could easily pass it but upon enquiring about a table we were lead to a beautiful little court yard to the rear.
