6o miles!!
I am on holiday! Route 9 is a bit further than my normal limit - Crestatx, but it looks a nice ride on the quieter roads, I'll aim to build up to this by the end of my 2 weeks this year.
Trouble is I try to be back in PP by around 9.30 ish to take the better half a cup of coffee in bed!
Appreciate the link to an interesting site - thanks

First Timer; just thought of another early morning route you could try:
Cycle (or run!) to Pollensa. Assuming that you approach with the town to the right of the main road, just a little further on from where the Ford garage is there is a small road of left that is signed posted Puig De Maria (this is mentioned on other threads on this forum.) If you are on a mountain bike you can tackle the whole hill. I went a couple hundred yards and gave up! I chained my bike to a fence ond walked the rest of the way. It is pretty rough terrain near the top but I once saw some young buck almost at the top and still on his bike! The veiws a brilliant and the convent/monastery at the top has an almost mystical atmosphere. There is a cafe to top up on fluids, but I would suggest that if you are to try it on yer bike it is definitely an early morning route.
Once took some friends on the bus to Pollensa, we had a coffee in the town before attacking the hill. One of our party (the Bulldog if you read this Jose) carries more than his fair share of weight, we stopped several time on the way up to let him catch his breath, but when we eventually got to the top I though he was having a heart attack! He took about an hour to recover, but we then ventured into town for tapas and a few beers - a great day out!
