I think there may be one, a few doors down from the Mir off licence/Eola Hotel. I'm not absolutely certain, but I'm sure someone will correct me, if I'm sending you on a wild goose chase!

Thanks for that. My bank (Abbey) is offering 2% cash back on withdrawals from Santander banks. So I'll use it when I'm over in August

Default Banks

Boss,

Seems ever so generous, most banks seem to go the other way i.e: charge you for the priviledge. Remember to check what r/exchange they are using, some of them drop this and claw money back this way.

Abbey is now part of Santander Banking Group. So as long as the exchange rate is accepatable I'll be quids (euros) in.

Boss,

They also state that overseas transaction fees still apply. As I understand it that means they will still charge you 2.75% of the value withdrawn and an ATM cash handling fee of 1.5% . Giving with one hand and taking with the other me thinks.

I have just spoken to Abby and much to my disappointment
you do get charged when withdrawing cash from your account usual total % 4.25 but with Abby's 2% cashback promotion, total charge would be 2.25% looks like it's euro's and travellers cheques for me! another thing according to some financial adviser on tv best way to spend is on your credit card but you must make sure you have the funds to pay the bill off when it comes in.

Best of all is Nationwide Flexi account no charges at all from hole in the wall using Visa debit card.
