Default Last week in and around Pollenca

I'll start with some pictures of the dawn over the Badia de Pollenca. These were taken on our first morning.

And these were taken yesterday at dawn. The first is taken of the sun rising over the hills above the bay. The second is of dawn mist over the lower reaches of the Tramuntanas.

We spent a day exploring Cap des Pinar, above Alcudia.

That's where I found this little bee orchid.

We also spent a day in the high Tramuntanas, including the Monastery at Lluc.

This is the hidden valley behind the monastery where the community grows its food.

And finally, taken on the new roundabout on the PM222 outside Pollenca, is this the biggest @#%$ you've ever seen?

By the way, did you hear that Barca drew with Real Madrid? There'll be celebrations on Mallorca tonight.

Great pics Zan de Man.. I want to be there now!!
It's a lovely time of year and the weather looks fantastic.

I laughed at your comment re the biggest @%*$ ... When we saw it for the first time in February we were a bit shocked and then had hysterics after I said that's the most dreadful erection I've ever seen

Those photos are beautiful. We will be there next Sunday for 2 weeks. What is the weather like, have looked on various websites but the forecasts differ quite a bit. Scenery looks fab though.

23°C every day. A bit breezy in the mornings, but still and glorious in the afternoons. It's a green as I've seen it and all the reservoirs are full to the brim.

Enjoy yourselves. Mrs Zan and I are sorry we only had a week. Still, we're planning a fortnight in September.

Its fantastic to see these photos actually on the forum, so everyone can dip in and out, especially those who aren't registered. Let's face it, it took me two years to do so!
