Translation!
For anyone who would like to know, in the first video...
Unos 500 vecinos se manifiestan bajo el lema "Tots Junts Salvem Eu Moll" » Part Forana » Noticias » Ultimahora Mallorca

It shows a woman in a blue shirt who is the deputy mayor of Pollença (Francesca).
And the translation of the video is the following...

Francesca: "Could you all listen to me for one moment please"
Protesters: "Speak Spanish we don't understand!" (She was speaking in Catalan)
Francesca: "I can assure you that we have revised your complaints in the council office, and we will try and fix things".
Protesters: "Speak in Spanish you stupid woman we don't understand!" (Francesca was still speaking Catalan even too the end)
Protesters: (Shout various problems they have with the town)
Francesca: "Like I said, the various points you have highlighted to us, we WILL have a look at them and try to resolve them".
Protesters: "Lies!! Boo, get out!!"
Protesters: "Your not doing your job properly, you've abandoned us in the cold!"
(Protesters start clapping hands in rythm)

So pretty strong , but there you go!

The lady with the megaphone is the deputy mayor, Francesca, and what she was saying I have translated and posted in the post above.

I was very surprised by the amount of people who turned out but it was great to see the protest being so well supported. As was to be expected of the Spanish it was a very noisy affair. Hopefully something will be done and i will let you know if things start to change.

Francisca Ramon is the councillor with specific responsibility for the port. It's the first time i've seen her without a plate of food and a glas of wine in her hands at all the freebies the council seem to conjure up. Great protest shame the big hotel group didn't take part. Great shame the protest is necessary in the first place

We actually watched them! Bit of a joke really, as they were finding and filling the most tiny of holes but made sure the tar stretched much further than the actual hole! This left the road even more of a mess! Quite difficult to walk along some of Gotmar. Husband likes to ride his bike but said in one particular road near to us, it was near on impossible in places.

Yes they did some pothole work in C/Vicente Buades last week, i had intended to let you all know but i was busy preparing for the family visit and i forgot. It was hilarious to watch, a lorry and a small pick-up truck trundling down the road so we had 2 drivers, 2 supervisors and 6 other guys chucking shovel fulls of tar into the holes and then using a very tiny hand operated roller to pack it down. This will all lift during the first summer storm of course.

An excellent with between 500 and 1000 participants with most of the local restaurants attending. All people want is the Port to look good and spend the money earnt here on the Port and not on Pollenca

The protesters are going to demonstrate one day a month unless the mayor starts getting things done. Not great for the towns image in the short term but hopefully paying off in the ling run

Ray - I've always wanted to do a ling run

Seriously though - PP has for a long time become the poor cousin o the Old Town and I think that the business owners of PP have every right to feel aggrieved.

Power to the poeple I hope.
