We were staying around that area & nicknamed our road "dog sh*t alley" :D At night time we had to walk in the middle of the road for fear of treading in poo on the pavements. In the whole time I was there I only saw one little old lady picking up after her dog.

Our apartment is in this vicinity and fully endorse what Linzzzz say's about having to walk in the road at night time to avoid walking in any dog mess.

I have stood on our veranda overlooking the road and watched the local residents letting their dogs out and they have just stood and watched them and then walked on to the next lamppost. You would think that they would have more pride in their neighbourhood, although they never seem to let their dog foul right outside their own front door, always someone else's.:(

I'm not surprised that they haven't opened the nature walk because in no time at all the paths and borders would be full of dog mess.

My suggestion would be an article in a spanish local newspaper, reminding the locals of their responsibilities to clean up after their dogs and the consequences of not doing.

Know what you mean it is disgraceful, Whaley i had a problem with a neighbour at home, he would stop his 2 poodles outside my door to do their business. So one day after he had done this, i went out, put the poo in a bag and posted it through his letter box. He never did it again.:eek:
