Default rental agents

I'm considering letting out my apartment in july & august and looking for advice:
Been told letting agents charge about 20%, but not really sure what they do for that.
Anyone any experiences?

Thanks in Advance

Actually I am able to offer you advice. If you are thinking of remting your apartment then I think the best for you would be to go with an agent. My experience of RENTAL agents is that they work hard for their commission. You needd only pay a maximum of 15% though and some only charge 10%. That doesn't mean there service is less. They advertise and market the apartment and deal with all the money side. They also are there on hand if any problems. Also remember that it is still illegal to rent an apartment for a holiday let so they get round that for you to.
The only thing to think about is that you get your money quickly from them. If they were to go broke or disappear you are out of pocket. Suggest going with Dickinsons or JS or one along the front although Jose in Pollensa is good to.
