Do you know who has taken it over Lyn?
Did not see you last night out and about.

I can report that the new owners have the Eolo up and running and doing what looks like a good job. How do I know........because we have grabbed a short break and are staying at the hotel as I write. The new owners Mateus and Lourdes are very nice and as we already know, have retained their staff who we remember from past visits.
The previous owners have let the place slip somewhat but it looks very much as though this will be corrected by a very ambitious plan which will see the Eolo open for the whole year, not just the season, as well much refurbishment. It will be interesting to see what happens but we have already seen the attention that is being shown to guests that are staying at present.
We wish the new team well and from what we have experienced I am sure they will succeed.

Got to be good news for the port and indeed the employees.

Also good to see that owners seem to be doing a lot of refurbishment of late which keeps things smart and up-to-date.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Sparky. I think we may have met the new owners whilst there last month, and its good to hear they have plans for the place, and look to be keeping the staff on. They were very pleasant and helpful, and look to be doing a good job. Wish them well for the future, after it seems the previous owners had let it go somewhat. It would be shame to let it go, what with such a prominent position and really great staff. Good luck to them
