Default advice regarding buses to Lluc

Hi,
I'm arriving in Puerto Pollensa for the first time in a couple of weeks. Having read some of the posts regarding Lluc Monastery it sounds a lovely place and certainly somewhere we would like to visit. I'm trying to work out the buses for the trip and I think there is only one bus going there in the morning and one return at 4.00pm in the afternoon. Am I correct in reading the bus time table or can someone advise. Thank-you for any advice given as it is much appreciated.

Yes thats correct just one bus there a day - its the La Calobra bus - leaving PP at 1000hrs and departing Lluc at 1600hrs. It is a great trip. You could go to La Calobra for the ride as fab scenery and then you can have a swim on La Calobra beach - the bus stops one hour at Lluc which is enough for you to have a look around and take some fotos and then continues its journey - you may find that 5hrs in Lluc will be too long unless you want to see some serious walking or enjoy a long leisurly lunch in one of the traditional restuarants there.

Thank-you for your reply JMD40. If we catch the bus to La calobra would we be able to get a seat on the one bus a day returning, as I have had a full knee replacement and cannot stand for long periods of time. Would we be better going to Soller instead?
