Default Petrol Station at Palma Airport

Does anyone know what time the airport petrol station opens? We have a fairly early flight and will need to refill the rental car at about 7am.

Hi. We just fill up in PP the night before and if you drive steady the gauge dosnt tend to move. Its not failed us yet regardless of Fuel type, or make, model, engine size of car etc

Above is good advice, done it myself. Just make sure you fill the tank until the nozzle starts clicking to suggest almost overfill. I always find that fuel tanks take quite a while to start to move downwards!!

Good Point nickpaulanoah, you do have to fill the tank until its almost 'pouring onto your toes!'

Yes, that's just what i do too!. Fill to the top in Pollenca the night before departure, and then this forces you to keep to the speed limit!

I'm pretty sure, Marilyn, that at this time of year that filling station is open 24 hours.....I'm sure we've filled up in the past (in high season) before 7-00am.

I've also brimmed the tank with diesel in PP and the fuel gauge has never moved on the way to the airport. Fuel tanks take quite a lot of fuel after the pump clicks off - more than enough to get to the airport.

From previous experience, you are more likely to get to the airport and find the car hire cabin closed, and have to leave the keys in their key safe. If so, be sure to photograph the car all round before you leave it - just in case!

Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

So it is you I need to blame when I pick up a hire car from the airport, drive it to PP, and the fuel gauge is heading towards the three-quarter mark before I have even got into Eroski's car park!

My wife always used to blame my "run to the sun" heavy right foot...
