Hi there We are staying on the Pine Walk near Bar Coral.
My daughter turns 13 tomorrow and this would be a perfect birthday treat.

Does anyone know when it opens? Ideally, we would be looking at morning time to avoid the hottest sun.

Also, it seems quite far up. Should we get a taxi and if so, where do we request to get out?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Jayne

If you get taxi along I would say nearest to hotel Uyal on front. Probably cost five or six Euro in taxi.

We stay near you and always walk to this end of the beach - its a pleasant 15/20 min flat walk to the waterpark and not worth paying for a taxi if you're able IMO

Phew! We just got back. Thanks for all the comments guys.

We walked out. The sea is really choppy. We still did it. Absolutely exhilarating. It was amazing.
Sea far too rough to properly experience the assault course but lots of fun and laughter.

Really recommend it. Presumably it's a little easier to use in calmer waters.

certainly a birthday she'll never forget!

It looks like the "Water Park" will be here this year but it is the last year. This is a translation of a report in the DDM, the original can be seen here :-
http://suscriptor.diariodemallorca.e...e/1124561.html

Quote:
The City Council cuts one year contract Moll floating park.

The installation will disappear from next summer to "lower the density of uses" beach.

The floating water park overlooking the beach seascape dels Tamarells the Port de Pollença since 2014 will not be installed next summer of 2017. The government team (Junts Avançam-UMP) has made the company responsible for the aquatic facility renounces the last year of his contract in order to "lower the density of uses on the beach and go for a higher quality model that has been reflected in the draft beaches of 2016-2019", as explained yesterday government sources Local municipality of Pollença.

The installation of the floating park of 1,600 square meters extension, generated much controversy two years ago between the parties with municipal representation and entrepreneurs from the area by the visual impact it caused. Then, the opposition claimed that the former government team of PP was for free on the issue of the beaches, without reaching agreement on the model of exploitation that wanted to apply the City despite major changes as the tender Water Park Beach Es Tamarells, which cost the local government criticism for prioritizing payment services versus public.

The majority party in the current government, Junts Avançam, as stated during the election campaign his willingness to remove the floating park. municipal sources explained that "the contract extension was denied" in the first instance, prompting an appeal by the contractor, who had originally signed two-year contract extension plus two. Various technical and legal reports issued by this question indicated that this award "was reinforced by the specifications drawn up in 2014, since despite being granted extensions theory of agreement, the City Council has no discretionary power to decide if the park Florante should be further prolonged or not, it is required to grant the extension, "they added the sources consulted by this newspaper.

Talks

In order to avoid financial claims by the contractor, Glide Sports, the government team began negotiations with its representatives have finally culminated in favor of municipal claims, as the company has finally given up the second year extension, the next year 2017.

Thus, the floating water park only remain the summer of this year on the beach of Els Tamarells, which from next year will be free of such facilities season.

I remember last year reading the earlier message that the water park would not be assembled this year. I have however checked the company's website and they state that the water park will be up and running this summer again. Does anyone know if it's up and running or not?

Just had my daily fix seemallorca.com. It does appear the inflatable play area has returned.

I just read a post on FB saying it is back, the council must have been forced to honour the original contract .
