Default playgrounds/parks and indoor play

Hi, firstly can you tell me if there are any nice children's playgrounds with swings, slides etc, near to South Beach area. This may sound stupid but is Pollenca Park a park or just a hotel with grounds?

Secondly, is there a indoor play area suitable for a 3 year old in PP, just in case it rains then we have somewhere to go?

Thanks

There is a small play area in front of the Guardia Civil building along the seafront,South Side. The only indoor play area I am aware of closed down I think.

The 'Pollenca Park' is indeed a hotel with grounds. If you look at it on Google Maps in the 'Satellite view' you get a better idea.

Apart from the playground lollipop mentioned - consisting of two swings (no 'bucket'-seats), a slide, a see-saw and a springer toy - there is only one other small outside play area at Carrer de Roger de Flor (beside Calle de Levante) in PP town (as far as I remember).

As an alternative, Multi-Hire (see shops - Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca Majorca - Shops, Markets ) does provide DVD hire for a rainy day.

I'm not aware of an indoor play area in the area, but if you know beforehand the weather isn't going to be great and you have transport, I've been told that the Palma Aquarium is worth a (day) trip.

Hi Ruthie, the local kids mostly play in the square or on the beach.
Have a safe journey and i hope you enjoy your holiday.

Getting the bus up to Pollensa to go to the excellent playground (modern kit, clean, secure and very well shaded by any number of trees) adjacent to the main bus stop isn't such a strange idea. Two half hour sessons for the children on the park, between which a civilised coffee, cake and people watching can be had in the main square.
Even better, thinking about another thread that is running at the moment, take them into the Il Giardino shop to select their own cake to eat round the corner at the Il Giardino cafe. Lovely!
