Update on Trio; Open Tuesdays to Sundays lunch time only, close at 4pm. Saturday is the only night they are open in the evening.

Just found this out tonight when we met up with itscd and hubby for a meal at Trio to find it closed! Ended up at El Casinet ~ my favourite for this year ~ for a great mdd which did have the best suckling pig on this week according to my hubby! :)

We had a very pleasant evening in Nostalgia last night, it wasn't too busy but the Port has been much quieter this Christmas.
So nice to see a couple of forum members again :D.

I have known about this for a couple of weeks but now it is official....La Roca will close down permanently after their NYE party tomorrow.
Juan, Loli and Manolo have tried very hard to weather the "crisis" but unfortunately they could not keep going any longer.....such a shame :(:(.

That is very bad news for them Sparky, as you say it's a great shame!

Yes it is sad, they are lovely people and we had some great evenings in there, especially when they played their guitars and sang (real Spanish stuff) also had some raucus nights of footy during the winter, mostly when Real Madrid and Barcelona were playing each other ;).
I think the main problem is location but hopefully they will find somewhere else soon.

Juan was telling me he may look at retirement but also has a couple of things up his sleeve ;)
