Talking

Well, we went to Bar Coral the first day, then tried the C'an Ferra the next night, and again the following day. It was really friendly , good food and service and really not overpriced at all. Next night was eating in as we`d been out all day on an excursion, Thursday we decided to return to C`an Ferra but it was closed. Aargh.
Couldn`t see any where with spare tables close by so we went into the next place we found, Dragon Chinese, quite good.
Police incident taking place next door which we`ve not been able to find out about..

Last night - back to C`an Ferra for a special last night out..
We were told the closed night was a family day which was very much enjoyed.
Thank for mentioning this place, we both really liked it there.
We also had some beers at the bar in the square, opposite the playground, a Hotel/Hostel. That was very nice for people watching and passing time for an hour or so. The Jazz night was extremely entertaining , not so much by the band, but by the customers at one table, I`ll have to tell you about that another day.

So glad you enjoyed C'an Ferra, we must have similar tastes.

As promised , a report on Tuesday night in the square.

I don`t know the name of the bar, but it was on the corner of the market square opposite the playground. It was Tuesday night and there was a jazz band playing, it was very packed and we managed to find a table with two chairs free and shared it with a very funny couple from Dusseldorf who spoke very good English.
On the next table was one man and four to five ladies of an assortment of ages, sizes and dress style, including a size zero in silver pants and with what the four of us thought had undertaken varying degrees of cosmetic surgery ranging from simple botox, to implants and a full Joan Rivers job.
As a couple of ladies left to be replaced by another two, the remaining ones started to discuss the ones who had left, the man bought another round of drinks for all , and another bottle of red for himself. This `roundrobin` continued all night, and in total about 12 different ladies and the one man occupied the same table, with the man continuing to pay for every round and a bottle of red for himself every other. He did seem in danger of missing his seat when he stood to kiss “mwah mwah” when either greeting or bidding farewell to each lady.
By the time we left we had heard about who was having an affair with who, who had a new odd job man, whose husband had gone back home, who was thought to have had more cosmetic surgery and who should have it.
The waitress Caterina? was run off her feet and getting rather confused with who had paid for their drinks. After a couple of rounds she asked to be paid and gave us the wrong change, 5eu short, she soon came back and apologised, but then gave us 5eu too much. We sorted it out and from then on paid for each round at the time she brought it, she was very pleased with this arrangement, but the man mentioned before leaned across to advise us “no one does that here, we settle up at the end of the night”
The band were very good, and there were some really good singers joining in , unfortunately we were going on an excursion the next day so had to leave, we really wished we could have stayed , if only to enjoy the rest of the entertainment from our neighbouring table.
