Have just had an email from the organisers with the full list of participants for April and there will be 17 of them, with Nico's and Pension Bellavista joining in. The latter being very good news for vegetarians.

To be honest, I cannot see a problem with soft drinks being on option, we would´nt, would be worth contacting the organiser and see if she could ask the people on the routa

It's ok Zelda, you don't have to do all of them .
Hardleys Diner's choices for this week are:- Soaked bbq Rib, Spicy Mozarella Quesadillo (vegetarian) or a Buttermilk Pancakes with maple & Bacon including a glass of wine, small beer or a soft drink .

Did our first Ruta last Thursday and it was great fun The atmosphere in the restaurants we went to was great although we only managed to get to two! Started at Marina where we had a croquetta served on a chinese style spoon, so presentation very good, and a glass of red for me and a beer for Chels. Sat on a table next to Senor Valls (Helados man) and his family. I thought it was lovely that a lot of locals were supporting La Ruta along with holiday makers. Next stop was The Ivy Garden which was buzzing. Haven't been to this restaurant for years and I think this is why La Ruta is such a good idea as it gets you going to places and reminding you why they are so good. Billy excelled himself although not sure he was sticking to the rules!! The tapas just kept on coming First a bruschetta(not sure what it was) but it tasted delicious and a glass of red each. Then just as we were about to move on a spicy dish of potato, mushrooms and chorizo appeared..so we ordered two more glasses of red. Then we were really going to move on when a plate of calamari appeared..so it was rude not to order another couple of drinks!! Got chatting to lots of people and we were there for ages..too stuffed and sozzled to go anywhere else We did manage to stagger across the square where we stopped and chatted to Mr and Mrs Sparky who were heading to Makassers and then we popped into Nostalgia for a nightcap before heading very merrily home
Can't wait to do it again in a couple of weeks

Looking forward to visiting a couple more bars tonight, just hoping it will not be raining. At the moment it is very dark and it's trying hard to rain also having a few claps of thunder .
P.S. Correction..... it is now chucking it down!!!!!!!

Just take a change of flip-flops Sparky, you'll never notice after the first couple of bars! Enjoy! Just hoping they still keep the excitement going in a couple of weeks time -and dont run out of tapas!!

Bella if all else fails i will just go barefoot, ended up doing that on NYE coz my shoes were crippling me, much warmer now so it won't be a problem tonight .
Seriously though the Ruta seems to have really taken off and i can only see it getting better as more people join in the fun, the atmosphere in the Port is fantastic on Thursday nights now .
