It's on Carrer Joan XX111, the entrance is almost directly opposite the Eroski City supermarket. I think it used to be something else (O`lume maybe?). Pizzas are cheapest I've seen in the port, and very good too.

I'd hazard a guess he means "Portofino"?

It's always hard to just choose five restaurants as there are so many good ones. Here are my choices

1) Bahia (delicious food and continued professional service always with a smile)
2) Centric (superb service and some good dishes with a twist)
3) little Italy (fish platter see their Facebook for images and salt baked sea bass cannot be beaten - has to be ordered the day before to make sure that eg lobster, cuttlefish etc can be obtained)
4) Tiberi (always a warm welcome, atmosphere and good meal at moderate price)

Didn't make it to firm favourite Can Curassa this year sadly.

Looking forward already to memorable meals in 2017.

Our five from August. The Port was so busy that we reduced our eating out expeditions and cracked up the bbq on the roof terrace on a number of evenings.

1. Stay
2. Na Ruixa
3. Can Josep
4. Coral
5. Laroc

Wink Top 5 Eateries

Well here we are again - goodness doesn't time fly!!

Some good nights out, and some good hospitality provided from places where we were just having a couple of coffees.

4th "Bar Rumbo" Never been there before - great Tapas from a very friendly barman (Owner??) - enjoyed it a lot, so went again -just as good 2nd time.

3rd "The Tapas Tree" Went for lunch - 5 adults and 3 children - brilliant. Great range of Tapas, all very tasty, and nothing was too much trouble for the kids. Lingered for about an hour and a half, and the bill was still very reasonable. Will definitely try an evening there in the future.

2nd "Hibiscus" In all the years I had never had Frito Mallorquina - but I certainly have now. Fabulous - delicious, and followed by beautifully cooked Turbot - will be back there again next visit. The service was excellent too.

1st "Tango" - went first night and last night - had Menu Del Dia on first occasion - just had to order Roast Suckling Pig - beautiful. On second visit, on wife's birthday 3 of us had fillet steak (1 rare, 1 med-rare, 1 Medium), and son Chris had a gianormous T-bone Steak ( Medium ) - all arrived at same time and all were perfectly cooked . My wife had the Salmon which was pronounced "fabulous". And all provided with the great service we have experienced there for many years now.

Worthy of mention:- "Laroc" - super Pizza takeaways, kids and adults loved them, and a great price too. "Casa Manolo" - just had coffees and a few beers - all provided with great cheeriness, and the prices are brilliant, in some instances less than half the prices charged in other outlets across the square.
And to cleanse the palate, Fish and Chips for me, and Cheese Burger for Mrs. T in "Joker" - nicely cooked and pleasant service.

Roll on the next trip.

Nice report Tango.
We get there next week for our yearly treat.
We are going to try Rumbo as it has good reviews.
You also mention some of our favourites.
Manolos.
Joker.
And of course Tango.

Great Report Tangoman. We have not been to Hibiscus for years. We love Frito and miss the Turbot we used to get at O Lume so will give it another go when we are out next month.

Top 5 for 2016

1. Celler La Parra (consistently good food and service)
2. La Llonga (great menus, service and views)
3. Can Ferra (local options, value for money and service with a smile)
4. Los Farloes (Fish is the best)
5. Brisa Marina (Food, service and location)

First year I've taken off Centric and will not be returning. Always book days ahead and table never ready, service poor and food quality going down hill. Are they getting greedy or has the best chef and manager gone to Pollensa Town and even expanded at the expense of their once successful venture? (2 visits of 3 weeks this year).

What a great pity, their service used to be one of their strongest points. They said Giovanni was going to stay and manage in the Port. I will give it a go next month and hope that things are back to normal once things are quieter.

PS La Parra has also become our favourite this year!

@Timberman
That sounds like very bad experience in Brisa Marina

Will there be a mention in the upcoming trip report?

Marilyn, Giovanni is going to be based at the new Centric in Pollensa, at least that's what he told us in June. When I walked past Centric in the Port the other day only Josė was there. I think they have been a victim of their own success and have struggled to cope with how busy they are. Certainly our last couple of visits the service has been slow and I'm sort of a bit fed up, like another poster mentioned, the strange mix of bean sprouts and stir fry with a lot of the meals. Not terribly innovative!
