Lovely to meet you last night, Sparky - and Mr Sparky, of course - yes, we had a fantastic meal. I love El Posito! - perfect combination of great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. And it's the only place my carnivorous daughter will eat vegetables (the timber is the best anywhere). Btw she tells me I was staggering as I left - thanks no doubt to the two massive Suau brandies served up to me - I'm not usually that disreputable, honest!

Kate, Why is their furniture better than other restaurants ? Me thinks you might still be suffering from the brandies

I just wanted to let you all know that if you are here this week El Posito will not be serving dinner on Tuesday 14th April because they are hosting a private party.

We had a fabulous meal last night to celebrate Colin's birthday. I wanted to have a special meal and so spoke to Chris a couple of weeks ago about them doing a Caldereta de Bogavante, so last night we had a couple of drinks at the bar, Chris advised us not to have a starter as the meal was quite big and i am glad he did because when Toni brought it to the table it was in a huge pot.
We have had caldereta before in El Posito and other restaurants but chefs Ricardo and Fernando excelled themselves, Colin quickly declared it was the best he had ever eaten and i had to agree with him.
Our thanks to Toni, Chris, Miguel, Ricardo and Fernando for making Colin's evening special .

Looks fabulous - I'll be having some of that - can you lend me some money? Ha, Ha!!
If you don't mind me saying, in the photograph, excellent as it is, the glass appears to be slightly more than half full!

Ah but if you look carefully you will see that there was ice in the glass as well .
