Hello all
It's our first time to post and will hopefully be our first visit to Polensa.

Just before we hand over Visa cad details, can I confirm that

Villas, Apartments Puerto Pollensa, Holiday Villas and Fincas in Mallorca (Majorca) . Winter ready villas

Villas De Pollença, S.L.
Dietlinde Lipps
Tel. +34 971 53 41 60 - C/. Plaça Ca les Munnares, 4 - Post Box nº 37 - E.07460 POLLENÇA (Mallorca)

are a legitimate agency. So far all information & phone calls have been 100% but without prior experience a valididation would be excellent!
Many Thanks
Hugh

Sparky
many thanks for that quick confirmation. As most of my previous holiday bookings have been with hotels or other organisations I know well, what is the normal procedure in Spain re agent booking deposits.

As this might be severla thousand euro, what security exists in the event of any business failure? In UK / Ireland there is generally a bonding system, but in these circumstances what should one look for.
Many thanks again
Hugh

Hi Fortyplus,

I've seen their van driving around on a number of occasions and run past villas on their books, they have their logo on the gates!

All look very nice.

Have a good holiday

Hugh i would assume that it because payment is via credit card, if the business failed you would claim it back from Visa.

"As this might be several thousand euro, what security exists in the event of any business failure?"

If you pay cash then most definitely none??!!

As Sparky says, most credit cards have cover up to a certain limit. My Barclaycard certainly does and I'd never not use it for such purchases.

I'm sure most rentors are genuine but sooner or later someone will be caught out. It's the nature of the beast.

A good reason to book direct with the owner. Many owners now also have credit card facilities or allow the use of PayPal which I believe also gives some protection.

Villas Pollensa have been around for many years and have always been very reliable, good houses and very good service. Paying with a credit card, and receiving the confirmation from them will ensure that your Visa card will cover you if there was a problem and you did not manage to get into your villa for any reason.

Put Pay Pal complaints into Google`, You will never use that system again.Ìt is seriously flawed, In my opinion of course.

Thanks for that C8 M8

It looks as though they took the easy way out without a thorough investigation for the complaints I read.

Who of us reads the small print!!

We've used them over many years, no problems at all, deposit taken on c/card, balance paid on arrival.
