Default Spanish dry white wine

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced dry white wine. I'm not too familiar with whites but my better half loves them. Now red that's a different matter, my favourite being Glorioso reserva. Cheers.

Any Albariño (from Galicia) should suit you / her / (him?).

Monopole (Bodegas Cune / CVNE) is a traditional favourite (5.65 €)

My personal choice would be a Bodegas Olarra

Añares Blanco (6.30 €) or Señorio de Olarre Blanco (7.40€).

Check the online store:

Grupo Bodegas Olarra

Thanks for that . My wife also sends her thanks and she says she will try them all, just so she can help others with a similar dilemma.

although I always plug Mallorcan wines, now that I am living here I find them a bit expensive for everyday. I am currently enjoying the El Coto Rioja Blanco made from the Viura grape. €3.85 in Eroski.

Eroski also do the best deals on wine - often buy one get one at 70% off.

Thanks for the info GG. I'd forgotten about the White Rioja. Cheers.

Just what I was going to say GG, it was our 'go to' plonk for our recent visit. Also on sale in Llenaire Spar at 4.35 if you're desperate!
