Default Dinghy/sail boat hire/loan in Port bay

Research to date indicates only one firm who hire out the likes of a Laser Pico (2 person dinghy) for a day or half a day. Unfortunately their desire to rent out in the summer months somewhat restricted by the fact it appears they prefer to rent out to novices where instruction is required wheras I already have RYA licence. Other than advetiser on this website is anyone aware where I can hire/borrow please? PM me if this helps.

Gracias

The sailing school on the beach will obviously try and offer tuition but provided you state that you have qualification in dinghy sailing then there is no problem with hiring just the boat. They do not class the Pico as a 2 person boat only for 2 children. PM me if you want more info.

Belated thank you llolipop- I have been in touch with the beach sailing club but they are not prepared to allow any pre-booking as they are more interested in tuition and will not commit in any way in July/August. To be honest I also think their hire costs are high but it appears (as far as my research) it is a case of take it or leave it.

Flyer, yes I understand your frustration but I think they won't commit because they do not know exactly what boats are available or in use by the courses they run. Don't forget they do a lot of sailing holidays. They are the only place in PP you can hire not sure if there is a school in Alcudia but think they only have odd catamarans and again they run courses. It is of course their bread and butter.

Just to give you some hope we have some friends who come out every year in August and have always managed to walk on and book boat iether for that day or the next. I think you will find they just cannot commit but do know day to day what is available I am sure you will get sorted with them. :0 Happy Sailing
