I have a boat mooring out in front of little Italy and it's very safe but I am not sure what you are wanting to do I can tell you my family and I have spent more than 20 years in that area and my children and now my grandchildren all enjoy the beach and the water in that area hope that helps if you need more info on the area please ask

Hi pips

I can't comment personally as I've never used them but I think good old common sense would prevail.

Check the condition of anything you intend to use, make sure you have life jackets that fit and are in good condition and a safety helmet if they have any.

Also ask them what insurance they have or any qualifications to teach you.

If you get a lot of "no" answers or head scratching then simply walk away.

If they are genuine people they may have a certificate from the council or insurance displayed somewhere.

Perhaps others may be able to add anything I've missed atall? Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, husband has boats here at home, I am not a deep water person. Will take all precautions.
