Question Fishing In Puerto Pollensa

Please can anyone help?

I have friends coming to the Port later this month.
Father and son are keen fishermen in the U.K. and would like to fish while they are here.
Has anyone any experiences that may be helpful, before I make a total nuisance of myself in the fishing shops of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia?

Any advice, experience would be really useful.

Cheers! (I'm told I should be saying "tight lines!!!"

Frito.

Smile Fishing in Puerto Pollensa

Thank you Rangers1.

I went to talk to some guys who were fishing off the breakwater at Llenaire. They too said, "Light tackle, bread as bait", and they seemed to be having a lot of fun, if not catching a lot!

Thanks again.
(Anyone else able to help?)

We fished from the "jetty"where the sailing club slip way is, in August, and didn't have any trouble. Used bread, sweetcorn worm from one of those dispensing machines. Also went towards the new roudabobout for Alcudia but there was too much seaweed for beachcasting

I'm getting interested in this! It could be the start of a book!

Please can you remember where the bait dispensing machines are?

Thanks. (Can anyone else help with any more information?)

Frito.

Quelys thank you.

I must have walked past that machine 40 or 50 times!
I thought it was a drinks machine, but looking at it this evening, it does dispense worms....of many different kinds!!!!

Thanks again.

Hi Frito

The locals seem to use like a dough as bait which stays on the hook longer as the small fish are a pain taking the bread. If this isn't an option try bread paste-either way take a cloth to handle fish nearly all I've caught have being 'spikey numbers'

tight lines!

Thank you Bodge.

Isn't this forum amazing? One simple request for information, and I'm already onto Chapter Two of my new book, "Fishing In Puerto Pollensa"!

Thanks for all your help.

Frito.
