Default Snorkelling in Puerto Pollensa

Hi

We normally go Sunsail or Mark Warner but fancy spending some time with my parents for a change. My Dad is going to take a bit of persuading as he dislikes sandy beaches and likes to snorkel, but the kids love sandy beaches - as he says it is unlikely we'd find a resort that would suit us all (he LOVES Croatia!).

We have identified the Puerto Azul, as probably the best hotel for us as it is family friendly and we have kids age 3 and 5.

Also, it seems like we can hire a Pico for an hour or two at the beach (is the boat hire far from the hotel?).

Is Puerto Pollensa suitable for snorkelling? any rocks? anything of interest to see? fish? sea urchins?

Dad has looked at some pictures and envisages sand and more sand - although he said it did look a bit shady which is good in his book. If I could reassure him that there was snorkelling nearby I am sure I could persuade him.

All comments welcome!

Christine
ps. Mum couldn't give a hoot where she goes as long as she gets some sun and sees the grandkids!
