Default Walking With Kids!

Staying at the Oro Playa in June. Can anyone recommend walks in the area which would be suitable for children (8 and 10)- one, unfortunately a reluctant walker. We enjoy looking at beasties, birds, etc. :-)

The best walk & so near to the Oro Playa (it starts just behind the hotel) - up the Avenida Bochoris (tree lined avenue) to join the path is the Boquer Valley walk which takes you through to Cala Boquer. See www.puertopollensa.com/Beaches/BeachBoquer.html It is a favourite with bird watchers & you are also likely to see goats!

Others we have done (with kids) is the walk to Cala San Vicente & up the Puig de Maria near Pollensa town.

For all of these you really must get a copy of Mallorca North an excellent walking guide & detailed map - and our best seller. See

A good description & map of the Boquer Valley walk can be found here: www.paul.wetton.care4free.net/boc.html
