I can't remember exactly how long it took but I would try & go early in the day. Trainers would be fine. We have done it with kids, spent the day on the beach & then took the bus back.

Looking at the Mallorca North guide (excellent) it says 1.5 hrs (4 km) one way.

Default P Pollenca to Cala San Vicente

In June, we were crazy enough to walk over the mountain to CSV, and then walk back on the road.
They are both lovely routes, and whilst the mountain route is a little more difficult, it is much shorter.
We used to go over the mountain with our kids when they were quite young, and solid trainers are fine.
Most of the Walking Books have the route and it's very easy to follow.
Reminds me of when we did the Boquer Valley the first time. I wore trainers, but my wife wore pink espadrilles. Half way there, she made me swap. It wouldn't have been so bad if the shoes hadn't clashed with my hand bag...but that's another story.

Default Pink Espadrilles

Don't read anything into it smiddy, only wore them as a favour.
Have a good time next week, I won't be there for another three weeks, but will be staying until 24th August. Can't wait:lol

We believe you, thousands wouldn't
what date do you arrive, it would be good to meet up
and as we say in Scotland: have a wee bevvy, chew the fat and hear your patter, translated as discuss good walks/food/weather etc over a wee G & T.
We will leave on 3rd August.

Default meeting up

we stay along opposite end from you, apartments behind the Flora which is a good bit away from Llenaire
We often have a sundowner (or 4) in the Pascalino which is the Chinese place next to the Miramar hotel on the front, just past the Daina
how about there on Friday 1st August at about 4pm
which is almost exactly 3 weeks to the minute from now
or if you would prefer somewhere nearer to your end
of town let me know. We leave here at mid day tomorrow.
Look forward to meeting you both
Brian
