The last time I was that high up, I was equiped with harness , ropes and associated climbing gear.
That is not a walk. Lol.

It's good to hear of people coming off season to walk and hike the many beautiful paths that Mallorca has to offer. However, please note that the winter bus timetable from The Pollensa area can be very scarce. For example the Formentor bus does not normally run. The buses to Lluc, Soller and Sa Calobra do not run. The bus from Pollensa to CSV is normally only 2 per day and the times of the Pollensa and Alcudia buses are very much reduced.

It would, indeed, be great if the increase in walking tourism also increased our winter bus services, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Thank you everyone - I haven't checked in for a good while as work has taken over my life but just wanted to seriously thank you for all the replies and advice! I am quite touched and appreciate all your time - this evening will be spent researching all the above with the other half and a glass (bottle) of wine! 10 more sleeps!

I wouldn't try and do too much on your first trip as the days go so fast and there is so much to see and do.

A local bit of hiking is to start at Victoria Restaurant which is a short taxi ride away.
Head for Talia Alcudia and Penya Roja.

Some link to blogs and guides about this walk.

Have fun on your holiday.
That's my wife!! Ha Ha...

It's just a leisurely diversion on the walk up The Talia de Alcudia above the Puppy in the Hillside.

Honestly it looks worse than it is!!

There is a chain to hold onto once through the pass ..... Don't let me put you off ... It's a lovely walk to the end. There is a further rocky scramble if you want to reach the cannon on top of Peña Roja.
