Palma to Lluc is more than 30 miles surely? I would have thought you would have to run quite fast to do it in one night?

I found this online :-

Sa Marxa Des Guell a Lluc Peu.

The distance from Palma to Lluc is 48km with an elevation of 500m and the route includes the villages of Marratxi, Santa Maria, Consell, Binissalem, Lloseta, Biniamar, Selva, Caimari, Escorca and Lluc. It is no so difficult but a minimum physical condition is recommended days before the walking. During the foot march, organization prepares refreshment and assistance points for walkers. The activity starts at 23h from Plaza Güell where was the site of Bar Güell and finish at Lluc between 7h and 10h of the following day.

P.S. 48 Kilometers = 29.82581721600 Miles

The website link for the walk is:- Desguellallucapeu | una marcha popular que se lleva a cabo el primer sábado de agosto desde el año 1974
42km from Palma to Lluc Monastery for an entire night, an exciting challenge & only 2 euros entry fee!
Any takers?

Wow, wouldnt have thought it was only 30 miles! Having walked from Caimari to LLuc in November I would say yes, you need to be fit as the hardest part of the walk is at the end after 9-10 hours of walking. (just thinking whether I'd be able to do that after a long night shift!)

What a great walk though, the night will be short, sun up at 5-6am and fantastic scenery and atmosphere. I'd say if your in Mallorca on that date go for it, shame we aren't.

I've done Lluc to Alcúdia, about 32 kms, but this was made slightly easier with a couple of bars in Pollença in between and plenty more in Alcúdia at the end

Unfortunately he did not get to do it but he & his sons played a major role in the Pollensa Fives football with several European goals under their belts, by the way last game this Friday.
