Is there a reason that the picture I 'lifted' from the web, for my profile, will not appear on my posts? anyone?

Was it one of your own pictures? If not, the website where it was hosted may have deleted or moved it so the URL link no longer works.

Does this make any sense?

Thanks Jane - that probably is the reason, even though I have saved it to my desktop and tried to use it from there!
