Default Accessing www.puertopollensa.com

For the past day or two, when trying to access the website, I get a page saying words to the effect that the website is checking my browser, and on one occasion I got an ‘I am nor a robot’ page, where I had to click on pictures with bicycles. Is this something new for everyone or is it just me (or those using an iPad) ?

Hi guys

Russ has just queried this with the hosting server.

It looks like somebody sent thousands of fake visits to the site last week and this screen was added temporarily to protect the website. It shouldn't be there for much longer. It is not a security issue, it is just to stop the website from crashing.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Toni

Ps: You may be interested to know that there were actually 16 million visitors trying to (falsely) access the site!!!

Now we know PP is a popular place and that people may be starting to think about their next holiday, but this is a ridiculous number

It’s happening again. I take it the site is being overwhelmed (again) ..

Sorry everyone! We've just had a look into it and the same thing happened as last time.

The hosting people are hoping to get it sorted this afternoon so the checking pop up doesn't keep happening.

Have a good weekend all (despite the rain here in the UK

I’m glad the hosting people do keep an eye on things. If the website did actually crash, it would be a disaster !!
