Question Companies that book Flora apartments

We stayed at the Flora apartments last year and we booked with First Choice which wasn't a particularly good experience given the way they handled a horrendous delay on the return flight.

We would like to book the Flora apartments again - but not with First Choice.

Can anyone recommend an alternative UK company that can book the whole package, flights, transfers and accommodation? We will be flying from Manchester if that makes a difference (though Liverpool is also OK).

The "Do it Yourself" approach of booking direct, separate flights and transfers isn't really on as we need as little hassle as possible given one of our kids is autistic. It needs to be off the plane, into bus/taxi and off to the apartments as efficiently as possible.

Default Flora Apartments

Hi Dave,

Both last year and this year we have booked the Flora Apartments with Travel Republic - www.travelrepublic.co.uk.

You book the flights, accommodation and transfers at the same time - they then invoice you individually (as you are booking directly with the airline, apartments and transfer company - if you see what I mean)!!!!

We had absolutely no problems last year, all plain sailing - booked the same for my Mum and her friend last year too and everything was great.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I have been digging around the web site and it appears there are several similar operations that work as you mention.

Seems to be the way to go! Now to get my leave request in.....

Thanks for the reply. I have looked at alpharooms and the prices seem good to me so will most likely book through them. That said after researching the site it seems our biggest concern which is keeping the journey as hassel free as possible would be acheiveable by doing it all seperately ourselves. The reason we are keen on a smooth arrival and departure is down to one of our kids being autistic so removing any stress in a hoiliday is worth paying a little extra for.

So I guess what I am saying is, does booking direct instead of using a company like alpharooms significantly reduce the price?

As a travel agent I wouldnt reccomend independently packaging as holiday as you have no rep facilities and you are out on a limb so to speak if something goes wrong you don't have someone in resort ie a rep fighting your corner or pointing you in the right direction. However, the staff in the Flora are excellent we've had a few hiccups over the years and they couldnt have done any more for me. For example : I stayed in the Flora from I was 5 ( im 25 now) with my parents and two years ago a male friend and I went for a quiet week and my suit case went missing after standing in the airport for an hour and noone helping me I boarded the coach the PP where the rep told me I would more than likely have to pay for a taxi back down the airport and pick my case up when it was found at 100 Euro each way this wasnt a great option to me - when I got into the Flora Pedro the manager at reception greeted me as normal with a hug and asked where my case was once explained the situation he got straight on the phone in Spanish and long story short my case was delivered to the Flora that same night from the airport at no extra cost to myself.

If you want a hassle free journey I would reccomend the Flora anytime and a taxi from the airport to the resort as you'll get there in about 40-50 mins with out having to stop at every resort al along the way also the low cost airlines usually embark and disembark quite quickly.

So so long as you dont mind not having a rep - I would go for this.

Just gimme a should any questions
