Default Primark

Just seen a post on Facebook with a picture of Primark coming to Palma even if you don't like their 'fashion' their towels and bedding are excellent!

Great for buy it wear it and chuck it too! Makes going hand luggage only easier.
You are right about their towels Joelise. I bought a couple of beach towels in our local branch a couple of years ago and they are still fine. Will try the bedding next. I can't find the reference, did it actually say when they planned to open? On the subject of shops from the UK is the C&A's still open in Palma? One I had forgotten about. Must get to Palma for a days shopping next time over. Another positive for the motorway as it makes Palma from PP such an easy and quick journey.

Woo hoo how brilliant is that! You cannot beat the quality of their towels and bedding and for the past 8 years have vacuum packed and brought out with me. Knowing I won't have to do this anymore is great news

I aint ashamed to admit I lurve Primarni

This is fantastic news - like Debz I am getting so sick of towels/bed linen taking up valuable space in my luggage! And hopefully everything will be normal (European) sizes, not strange sizes like Ikea.

Went into the C&A in Palma in the summer

It was disappointing

Old uninspiring styles and poor quality

Such a shame as I remember C&A fondly from shopping in clock house in my teens

Sticking on thread I can't wait for Primark to come to Palma ...... In fact I shan't refresh my beach towels until they do

Just used half our luggage allowance up with towels from Primark after recommendation a couple of years ago, good idea about the vacuum pack though, completely missed that! Have to admit, you cant beat them for quality and price for their better range! Hope they open up here by the time we need to do more replacements!

The vacuum bags are brilliant Bella and many an item has been brought to PP inside them. My worry was a couple of king size 13 tog winter quilts - can you imagine if the vacuum bag decided to split!! Look forward to Primarks and hope Matalan full in love with the island too!

I too think Primark towels and bedding will beat most of the big names - kitted out daughter when a student and they are still going strong. Also their baby and childrens wear are marvellous. The babies vests/body suits and PJ's are brill and their tshirts do not lose shape.I have a shopping list for friends every time I come to PP..

Clock House - gosh, that takes me right back! I remember buying a black satin jumpsuit from the Kingston branch and thinking I looked really hot to trot (well, it was the early 80s, and yes, I did have the big hair to match)!
